To Automatically Link an Element to a Task

Import a schedule.
In the Task Linking Rules dialog, click New to create a new rule.
In the Rules Template dialog that opens select a rule and click Create.
The new rule displays in the Task Linking Rules dialog.
(Optional) Rename the new rule.
In the Rule description section of the dialog, click property (underlined value).
The Select a Task Property dialog opens.
From the drop-down menu, select the task property you want to use and click OK.
In the Check Rules to activate section of the dialog, enable the new linking rule.
In the Task Linking Rules dialog, click Process.
Note: When you delete an element or named group, all the script entries that were created when you made the link are deleted.
